Overview
Get your trip off to a chilled out start in the stunning Whitsunday islands, where relaxing,
working on your tan & having a good time is all you need to think about! As you make your way south
enjoy a good 'ol Aussie 'knees-up' at a farmstay and get friendly with koalas and kangaroos! En-route to
Sydney you'll learn to surf in Coffs Harbour, shop the day away or swim 'til your soaked through at
trendy Byron Bay before experiencing Sydney & it's icons on this 2 weeks adventure.
Itinerary
Day 1 and 2 Depart for
Australia We fly over the international date line on our way to Sydney, in Australia.

3 Whitsundays Meet up with the other travellers and your Tour Manager out on stunning Daydream Island in
the famous Whitsundays. Soak up the island’s crystal clear waters and white sands.Tonight, get to know
your group and your crew over dinner. Kick back into the island lifestyle and try some of the local beer –
it’s good
Day 4
& 5 Whitsundays If you’re keen to explore further afield and see the UNESCO listed Great Barrier Reef first
hand, choose our optional trip to the Outer Barrier Reef. Our fun Local Guides will kit you out with
snorkel gear and show you around this natural wonder. Resort (B)(B)

6 The Whitsundays to
Farmstay After a ferry back to the mainland, plug in you MP3 or chat with friends as we drive
through scenic Mackay, with countryside full of vibrant green vegetation and sugar cane plantations.
Continue down the Capricorn Coast and head inland to an authentic country homestead, right in the heart of
Queensland’s cattle country, for our overnight stay. Later, have a go at whip cracking under night lights
and if it’s cool, settle in around the bonfire, kick back with a drink and hang out with your new friends.

Day 7 Farmstay to Fraser
Island We drive back out to the coast this morning after breakfast and jump on board a ferry.
Enjoy the cruise out to famous Fraser Island, where we’ll stay at an eco-lodge for our time here. Each
cabin has its own kitchenette and living room, as well as a balcony – perfect for hanging out &
watching the sunset. Tonight, grab a bite to eat at one of the Resorts restaurants, and follow it up with
some dancing or even karaoke at Dingo Bar. Eco Lodge (B) (D)

8 Fraser Island to
Noosa If you want to get a taste of the island action, there’s also the option of jumping on 4
wheels on a 4WD adventure through the island’s sandunes, rainforests & freshwater lakes. Our Local
Guide will show you some of the island’s best spots and hidden treasures – make sure you keep your camera
handy - this is one of Australia’s most beautiful regions. Resort (B) (D)
Day 9 Noosa to Surfers Paradise There’s time to explore Noosa this morning so take a stroll through the shops or sunbathe
and swim at the beach before we make our way south. We also stop off in Brisbane today. Grab some of your
new friends and join the party atmosphere of Surfers tonight. With loads of restaurants and buzzing
nightlife, there’s something for everybody. Head to the happening Orchid or Cavill Avenues, where clubs
and bars line the street or shoot some pool at the pub. Resort
Day 10 Surfers
Paradise With a free day, hang out among the bronzed bodies and surfers on the golden sands. Our
hotel is only a short walk from the beach. For adrenaline-junkies, there’s an optional tandem skydive,
where you can get your thrills and an amazing bird’s eye view over the area. Otherwise, try out a Harley
Davidson ride – your Tour Manager can help you get the most out of your time

Day 11 Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay This morning, we visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, where you’ll get up close to
Australia’s amazing native animals. Cuddle a koala, feed the kangaroos and see wombats, emus, crocodiles,
dingoes, Tasmanian devils and colourful birds. You can feel good about doing this too, as our visits to
this not-for-profit organisation go towards the sanctuary’s animal hospital and help over 4000 injured

Day 12 Byron Bay to Coffs Harbor
This morning you’ll wake up to more good times in Byron Bay. Maybe head to the beach for a swim or a wander
round town before it’s time to leave the chilled out atmosphere behind after lunch. This afternoon it’s time
for an awesome Aussie experience - hit the waves & learn to surf with some professional instructors as you
have a go at Australia’s national sport! It’s a fun way to learn how to surf as our professional local
instructors show you just how it’s done. Our cabins are right on the beach, so soak up the surf vibes and relax
by the open fire under the stars tonight. Surf Village (B) (D)
Day 13 Coffs Harbor to Sydney This morning, chill out on the coach and
chat with your travel buddies as we head south. We pass the iconic Big Banana in Coffs Harbour, before heading
to Port Macquarie for lunch. Relax & spend a last few hours with your travel buddies… it’s a chilled out
day before reaching Sydney. From the high-energy downtown area to its popular beaches, Sydney has something for
everyone. Get familiar with the city on a sightseeing tour with your Tour Manager. First up, we head into the
historic Macquarie Street district, before we make a stop at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, a famous sandstone seat
carved by convicts where you’ll get an overview of the glistening harbour. Hotel (B)

- Cruise the harbour of Port Stephens in search of some of the resident bottlenose
dolphins. You can even get a closer view with a swim in the boom net off the boat!
Coffs Harbour

- Hit the waves at our secluded surf spot! First learn the basics, before trying your
hand in the waves, where a professional instructor will help you refine your surfing skills. All the
equipment is provided for you to have a great experience!

- Jump aboard Dracula's ghost train and get your fangs into a 'to-die-for' 3-course

Fraser Island
- Whale Watching (Aug-Oct only)
- Take a half-day cruise on Hervey Bay and view the southern humpback whales returning
south to Antarctica after calving in the northern waters. Whale watching boats cruise amongst the
huge mammals allowing you to view from close range while they rest and play. Available from August to
October only.
- Fraser Island 4-Wheel Drive Adventures
- The best way to explore the world's largest sand island is by 4-wheel drive vehicle.
You have the choice of either a half or full day 4WD bus excursion, escorted by an expert local guide
who will take you to some of the best spots on the island, such as stunning Lake McKenzie, Central
Station and Wanggoolba Creek. The full day tour includes lunch.
Whitsundays
- Outer Barrier Reef Cruise
- Cruise to the Great Barrier Reef aboard an air conditioned, high speed catamaran. On
the journey to the Reef, enjoy complimentary tea and coffee while being shown the art of snorkelling
and watching educational reef videos. Once on the Reef, take a tour in a glass-bottomed boat and
semi-submersible, but the very best way to experience the Reef is to get amongst it by swimming and
snorkelling. If you wish, try an optional scuba dive, with instruction and equipment provided and to
top off a fantastic day, a sumptuous buffet lunch is provided. Includes Environmental

- Whitsunday Day Sail
- Sailing the Whitsundays is a must for all visitors. This is an outstanding opportunity
to see the Whitsunday Passage in all it's glory. Sail past tropical islands on your way to the
pristine water and white sand of Whitehaven Beach (weather dependent), regarded as one of the top ten
beaches in the world. Enjoy lunch before returning late afternoon. Price includes an Environmental
