Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Panama City (Mountain Biking)

Upon arrival into the Tocumen International Airport in Panama City a Singles Multi Adventures representative will greet you here and transfer you to a comfortable hotel. Early arrivals can take advantage of the great hotel location and go for a walk or bike ride in the Amador Causeway, an 8 km/5 mile stretch over the Pacific Ocean at the entrance to the Panama Canal. We'll have an orientation meeting over dinner to answer any questions that you may have. (D)

Day 2: Gatun Lake - Panama Canal (Kayaking)

We'll wake to a chorus of tropical birds, feast on a wholesome breakfast and then transfer to Gatun Lake. On the lakeshore our kayaks await. We'll start with a safety briefing and introductory paddle discussion before slipping into our kayaks and paddling into the heart of the Panama Canal Zone. Seated at water level in a kayak, makes for an interesting and unique perspective to witness the Panama Canal in action. Our guide leads us to places of special interest, while educating us about the flora and fauna of the area. We'll also see some big ships crossing the waterway. Overnight at the Albrook Inn or similar. (B,L)

Day 3: Boquete (Ziplining & Hiking)

We have an early transfer to the domestic airport to catch a flight to David. Upon arrival we’ll transfer to Boquete, a charming town in the highlands. The temperature here is a pleasant 20’C (70’F) all year round. Cultivation of flowers, coffee, strawberries and other fruits are the main activities for the local community. Afterwards, we’ll be transferred to the canopy tour for a thrilling traverse dashing through the trees. We'll zip on cables from platform to platform through a century-old cloud forest. The forest is set high above a gurgling river with cascading waterfalls that drip from canyon walls. In the afternoon, we’ll set off for a challenging hike into the mountainous highlands of Boquete. (B,L)

Day 4: Chiriqui Viejo River - Boquete (Whitewater Rafting)

First a hearty breakfast and then we transfer to the "put in" on the Chiriqui Viejo River. We have a full day of liquid refreshment negotiating frothy standing waves and thrilling drops for 18 km/10 miles of class 3-4 rapids. The landscape is beautiful with virgin forests and thunderous waterfalls. Flocks of green parrots screech above, and the forests are filled with howler monkeys, humming cicadas, and lazy tree sloth's. For lunch we flip the boats on the riverbank and feast on a typical Panamanian picnic of fresh fruits, cold cuts, cheeses, veggies, breads, and cakes. We take out late afternoon and transfer along misty alpine pastures back to our hotel in Boquete.(B,L)

Day 5: Los Quetzales Trail (Hiking)

Today we will hike one of the most beautiful trails in Central America: Los Quetzales Trail. We'll meander through the cloud forest of Baru Volcano National Park. The Baru Volcano is the highest peak of the country at 11,400 feet/3,475 meters above sea level. We will stop along the way to enjoy the views and to look for the elusive Resplendent Quetzal. The hike is approximately 4 – 6 hours depending on the physical condition of the group and the trail. Overnight at Cielito Sur Hotel or similar. (B,L)

Day 6: Bocas del Toro (Beach Day with Optional Activities)

This morning we'll transfer to Bocas del Toro by car and boat. This archipelago is an absolute paradise of white sand beaches, plantations of banana and pineapple, lush rainforests, coral reef, turquoise seas, exotic marine life, and mangrove coves. We'll check into our hotel in Bocas, and have the remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy the beaches or partake in some of the optional activities in the area, i.e. snorkeling, sea kayaking, etc. Overnight Hotel Bahia or similar.(B)

Day 7: Bastimento Marine National Park (Snorkeling)

After breakfast we'll gear up with snorkeling equipment and head to Bastimentos National Marine Park, which covers a large portion of the archipelago and is home to a variety of ecosystems that thrive around sea level. The seas of Bocas del Toro are turquoise with bath warm waters, and the reef is rich with sea life. The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy the beaches or partake in some optional activities. Overnight at Hotel Bahia or similar. (B,L)

Day 8: Bocas del Toro - Panama City (Leisure)

The majority of the day is at leisure in Bocas del Toro to partake in some optional activities including sea kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, horseback riding, snorkeling, hiking or merely relaxing in a hammock. In the afternoon, we pack our things and transfer to the local airport to catch a flight back to Panama City. Upon arrival we'll be met and transferred to our hotel. Once we're settled in we can meet for a farewell dinner. Overnight at The Albrook Inn or similar. (B)

Day 9: Departure

After saying goodbye to all your new singles travel buddies, you'll be transferred to the international airport for your flight back home. (B)
