Itinerary
Day 1 - April
29 Depart USA on own arrangement on your overnight flight to
Istanbul. - Best Single Travel will gladly assist on air
arrangements.
Day 2 - April
30 - Arrive Istanbul Welcome to Turkey! Our singles vacation
begins when we meet up with all the other single and solo travelers. The group
is met at the airport and transfered to our centrally located hotel. The
group will meet at 7:00pm in the lobby for optional dinner.
Day 3 - May
1 - Istanbul
Our journey begins in Istanbul, the only city in the world
situated on two continents. Byzantium, Constantinople, Istanbul - its three
names span more than 2600 years, nearly 1600 of them as the capital of two of
the greatest empires the world has known, Byzantine and Ottoman.
We visit the Topkapi Palace including treasury section, St. Sophia, The Blue Mosque
and Hippodrome, where chariot races and the Byzantine riots took place and free
time in Grand bazaar with its 3500 shops. Overnight in
Istanbul.
Day 4 - May 2 -
Istanbul / Ankara / Cappadocia
Morning flight from Istanbul to Ankara Airport
where we are met by our guide. We will visit the Temple of Augustus, Ataturk's
Mausoleum and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, located on the south side of
Ankara Castle. In accordance with the suggestion by Atatürk that a Hittite
Museum should be established, an Anatolian Civilizations project was initiated to
gather all artifacts, remnants and other findings of the Hittite civilization in
Ankara. Thus launched, the project has grown into one of world's most significant
museums sheltering unique collections. 
Day 5 - May 3-
Cappadocia
Full day tour of Cappadocia to see the surreal landscapes of
volcanic ash, formed 3 million years ago, spectacular red rock cones,
troglodyte churches and homes dating from 4000 BC Now visit
Uchisar, Goreme, and Zelve, then Avanos, to visit one of its famous,
pottery workshops. Later return to your hotel for overnight
stay.
Visit some caves in cliffs to see Byzantine frescoes
decorating early Christian churches. Among them are frescoes of St. Helene,
who discovered the true cross at Jerusalem and of saints slaying the dragon,
symbol of ancient religion.
Day 6 - May 4- Konya /
Antalya

After breakfast depart for Konya visit Catal Huyuk, Selcuk’s Caravansary, Museum
of Mevlana (Whirling Dervishes), Ince Minare Medrese (Selcuk architecture).
Drive to Antalya and check in to our hotel. Antalya is Turkey's
principal holiday resort on the Mediterranean region. It is an
attractive city with shady palm-lined boulevards, a prize-winning marina on
the Mediterranean. In the picturesque old quarter, Kaleici, narrow winding
streets and old wooden houses dot the ancient city walls. Dinner and
overnight at the hotel in Antalya.
Day 7 - May 5 -
Antalya / Perge /
Kas
After breakfast visit Antalya Archaeology Museum, Greek ruins
of Perge, located9 miles east of Antalya, Perge boasts extensively early
Hellenistic ruins including a well preserved Stadium, and Aspendos, the best
preserved Roman theatre in the world, built in the 2nd century AD. Drive to Kas and
visit Church of St. Nicholas, Lycian tombs in Myra, Simene. Dinner and overnight at
the hotel in Kas.
Day 8 - May 6 -
Kas/Kekova
After breakfast viewing of Kekova Bay underwater ruins by
glass bottom boat and snorkeling. As you glide through calm waters, you can see
remains of buildings and walls beneath your boat, staircases to nowhere
and the ancient Kekova harbor.
Afternoon free to relax on the beach or explore Kas.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in
Kas.
Day 9 - May 7 -
Pamukkale
After breakfast depart for Pamukkale. Upon
arrival visit the ancient city of Hierapolis, founded on this site in
the 2nd century B.C. Hieapolis differs from all other ancient cities in being
located, not on earth or rock, but on solid limestone layers formed by
limestone water that flowed for centuries over this raised level
plateau.
"Hierapolis" can mean "sacred city", and according to
Stephanus of Byzantium the city was given this name because of the large
number of temples it contained.
Visit and swim in the world famous calcium deposited pools.
Overnight in one of the Thermal Hotels in Pamukkale.
Day 10 - May 8 - Ephesus/Istanbul
We drive to the ancient city of Ephesus and visit the Temple
of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Ephesus was undoubtedly
one of the most important cultural centers of the ancient world. Impressive
structures include the Library of Celsus, Temple of Hadrian, Theatre and
Odeon. We also visit the House of the Virgin Mary. We take a night flight to
Istanbul, check into our hotel and then relax over our farewell dinner
(optional).

Day 11 -
May 9 - Depart Istanbul After breakfast, Transfer to the airport for
flight back home. Say goodbye to all your new friends as it is the
end of another great singles vacation.
