8 Day Italian Cooking Vacations in Venice, Italy
For Singles & Friends

Venice, like all other regions in Italy, has its own food specialities. Cookery holidays to Venice and the Veneto region offer a wonderful opportunity to explore the culinary traditions of the region. Obviously, due to the proximity to the sea, there are a large selection of seafood dishes to choose from. Not only is the lagoon known for its fresh seawater dishes, there are also an interesting number of inland fresh fish dishes. Preserving fish either by marinating them or keeping them in salt water was a very common technique that still continues to this day.

Our portfolio of villas are spread throughout the Veneto region, close to towns such as Conegliano and Treviso. You will be surrounded by the quiet nature of the woodlands, pastures and rolling hills; a perfect idyllic escape from the everyday life. Enjoy full use of the villa's pool and beautifully manicured gardens, perfect for relaxing and dining al fresco.

Cooking Vacation Itinerary:
Saturday

Benvenuti! Welcome to the Veneto! Our Flavours transfer will meet you at Marco Polo Airport upon arrival. Once you arrive at the villa, you can settle in, meet your host and enjoy welcome drinks. Dinner tonight at the villa, prepared by your chef.

Sunday

After breakfast you will have your first hands-on cookery lesson with the chef, followed by lunch. In the afternoon you’ll have the afternoon to relax before dinner at the villa.

Whether you choose to explore the mysterious passageways by foot or float along the maze of canals, Venice offers an abundance of stunning architecture and breath-taking views. Lunch will be at our favourite local Bacaro, sampling the city’s classic cicchetti. Later this afternoon, you will return to the villa for dinner.

Tuesday

After breakfast, we’ll head to Treviso to visit the Isolotto della Pescheria, Treviso’s famous fish market. There will be time to explore this fascinating walled town before travelling to a nearby vineyard for a Prosecco tasting and lunch. Later this afternoon, you will return to the villa for another hands-on cookery lesson with the chef, enjoying your dishes for dinner.

Wednesday

After breakfast, you will be cooking in the kitchen with your chef, followed by lunch. The afternoon is yours to relax at the villa, before dinner tonight, prepared by your chef.

Our singles ski week to Big Sky has become one of our most popular annual ski vacations. Big Sky Ski Resort pictured above is now the combination of Big Sky, Moonlight Basin & Spanish Peaks all joined in the last few years with a common lift ticket and interchangeable lifts. Big sky is a perfect destination for our season closer ski week. The last week in March has historically brings huge snow often the best each year. Our week have averaged 24? of snow the last few years NOT to mention the 3 year March snowfall average of 93? onto of an already existing base. This past season we had almost 70? see chart! This is ideal for real snow hounds and even beginners who like to land soft. A perfect way to close out the season

Collectively Big Sky has just under 6000 inbound skiable acres. Some of the best lift served terrain in the world. Before the merger you just couldn’t ski the whole resort in a week…. now it’s just impossible. Our perfect Western Singles Ski Week Destination!!

Big Sky + Moonlight Basin + Spanish Peaks = a most special western vacation for all skiers regardless of your level of ability. We can’t say enough.. with the largest skiable acres anywhere in the continental US there are an incredible number of slopes for everyone. From steeps to easy glades this resort has the most to offer.

For the serious ski vacation enthusiast our Big Sky Singles Ski Week is as good as it gets. It’s a ski paradise considered by many to be the best & largest combined resort in the world. Regardless of your level of ability this mountain combination will have more trails, more lifts, more bowls, more glades and maybe even more snow than anywhere else you’ve been.

Add to that mix a spectacular 5 star ski in/ski out hotel located 20? from the two main lifts, incredible food and a bunch of upscale singles to explore and enjoy it all with and you will see why this is such a great week. This will be out 9th consecutive year visiting Big Sky and that is not an accident. Best of all our package this year includes 4 dinners, 6 gourmet breakfast buffets & 4 lift tickets.

Located only 90 minutes from Denver… Breckenridge attracts huge crowds on the weekends offering guests almost 3000 skiable acres, 34 lifts serving 197 trails & several fun bowls…This is a huge resort with incredible capacity and facilities to match. A real favorite for Denver locals who arrive for spectacular weekends of unlimited skiing. This is why Breckenridge is a very special destination resort… the mountain & facilities are big enough for the monster crowds who show up for weekend skiing but the Monday to Friday skiers reap the benefit of an empty resort.

Imagine – Sunday, as we arrive for our singles ski week the weekend crowds are packing for their ride home. We will have all this great resort has to offer for ourselves. Big Mountain Skiing, NO Lines, NO Crowds, High Season Snow = Just Acres of Fun
Our hotel is the famous Beaver Run is a ski in/ski out property located a few feet from the Beaver Run Super Chair with direct access to Peak 9.

This week is about big skiing at all levels, great dining, a perfect hotel adjacent to the snowline, private tours, mountain lunches, and a fun group of singles to enjoy it all with. Join us for our 5th consecutive year at Breckenridge Singles Ski Week.

Shopping:

There are several good outdoor markets, flea markets, and places to buy antiques in Rome. You'll find everything from antique housewares to secondhand clothing and music to original art, jewelry, posters, furniture, etc.

Shopping for ceramics on the Amalfi Coast is one of the real treats of exploring this gorgeous coastline in southern Italy’s Campania region. The Amalfi Coast is a vibrant landscape of pastel colored houses, steeply terraced gardens and rocky cliffs plummeting down to the Mediterranean Sea. Filling this scene with even more color and life are the brilliant ceramic shops you’ll find in each town along the Amalfi Coast. Ceramic lovers will find these tempting shop displays as irresistible as the gorgeous views of the coastline.

Local Foods:

Food and wine is an integral part of the way of life on the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. The local cuisine is mainly Neapolitan and is famous for its use of tomatoes, lemons, fresh vegetables, red peppers and olives. You will find an abundance of world-famous specialties like pizza, pasta, the pastiera cake, buffalo mozzarella cheese and fresh Mediterranean seafood.

It is a cuisine that has retained its tradition of simple and quick preparation, without too much sophistication, in order to preserve the fragrance and flavours of the fresh ingredients.
