Cruise Day 1 - Boston, Massachusetts (Friday, September 6, 2024 / 4:00 pm)
Welcome to Boston where history truly does come to life. Be sure to soak up all the history and quaint New England charm this city has to offer. If you didn't choose our Boston pre-cruise mini vacation you may want to start your adventure by visiting the sprawling Boston Common park, the oldest public park in the United States or head to Boston Public Garden — the country’s first botanical garden. Be sure to visit such historidal sites as Bunker Hill Monument, Paul Revere's House or the Old North Church. Or as mentioned before enjoy a pre-cruise mini vacation in Boston with your fellow travelers - which includes a day long ttip to Martha's Vineyard and a welcome sunset dinner.

Cruise Day 2 - Bar Harbor, Maine (Saturday, September 7, 2024 / 7:00 am - 5:00 pm) - Tender Port
This coastal attraction has retained much of its charm since its glory days of the 1900s, when America's elite vacationed here in opulent summer cottages. Surrounding the rock-bound harbor is the world-famous Acadia National Park where the opulence of nature is on display. The natural beauty that surrounds Bar Harbor is punctuated with ocean cliffs and rocky beaches, glacier-formed lakes and valleys, unobstructed mountain vistas, and boreal forest. This beauty has been captured in the works of Thomas Cole, Frederic Edwin Church, Fitz Henry Lane, and many other great artists.
Included Shore Excursion: Discover top sights within Acadia National Park with your guide during this private, half-day tour. Cover more locations in less time in a comfortable, climate-controlled vehicle. Highlights include Park Loop Road and panoramic views from Cadillac Mountain. The tour includes snacks, refreshments, a stroll through Asticou Gardens, and a tasty lunch stop in Southwest Harbor (meal not included)
Cruise Day 3 - Halifax, Nova Scotia (Sunday, September 8, 2024 / 10:30 am - 7:30 pm)
Admire the rugged Atlantic coastline that surrounds Halifax, the world's second largest natural harbor. This beautifully preserved city is Nova Scotia's capital and was founded in 1749. A major business centre, it’s also known for its maritime history. The city’s dominated by the hilltop Citadel, a star-shaped fort completed in the 1850s. Waterfront warehouses known as the Historic Properties recall Halifax’s days as a trading hub for privateers, notably during the War of 1812
Included Shore Excursion:
Escape to Peggy’s Cove, one of Nova Scotia’s most beautiful destinations, on today's guided trip from Halifax. After an informative overview of the area, explore this small fishing village, located on the eastern shore of St. Margaret’s Bay. While there you will.visit Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, one of the world’s most popular lighthouses, as well as local shops, restaurants, and cafes. Here you can take advantage of a great opportunity to capture amazing lighthouse photos while overlooking the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop. Return to the bustling downtown core on a scenic narrated drive passing multiple points of interest,.including; Point Pleasant Park, Halifax Port, national historic site Pier 21, Halifax Seaport Market - the oldest, continuously operating farmers market in North America, the bustling Halifax Waterfront, the iconic brewery - Alexander Keith’s, universities; Dalhousie and Saint Mary’s, the beautiful City Gardens, and Fairview Lawn Cemetery best known as the final resting place for over 100 victims of the sinking of the Titanic.
Cruise Day 4 - Sydney Cape, Breton Island, Nova Scotia (Monday, September 9, 2024 / 10:30 am - 5:30)
Located on Cape Breton Island, Sydney is where metropolitan charm meets down-home hospitality and is the sight of the world's largest fiddle. Due to the coal industry Sydney is a multicultural mix of over 50 ethnic backgrounds.
Included Shore Excursion: On today's tour you will enjoy a narrated drive to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site. Here you will receive a guided tour of the fortress which operates as a living history museum. This site is significant for its role in the Anglo-French struggle for what is modern-day Canada. After the Louisbourg visit, you will head out on a scenic drive into the Cape Breton Highlands as you make your way to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck. Here you will have free time to explore the incredible exhibits which feature artifacts that were donated from the Bell family’s personal estate. You will then make your way back towards Sydney for a narrated drive through the city, passing multiple points of interest, including the Cossit House Museum, The Big Fiddle, the Jost Heritage House and St. Patrick’s Church.
Cruise Day 5 - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (Tuesday, September 10, 2024 / 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) Tender Port
Soak in the Victorian-era vibe of Charlottetown, the provincial capital of Prince Edward Island. Opulent clapboard villas lead the way towards Charlottetown's beautiful Victoria Park. Vibrant colors are everywhere - from the Victorian architecture to the red sandstone cliffs. Groves of sugar maples, rolling farmland, and towering sandstone cliffs are among the natural attractions that draw visitors to the North Shore of Prince Edward Island.
Included Shore Excursion: Today's tour is highlighted and inspired by the Anne of Green Gables series, Cavendish, and more. Your private 4-hour tour from Charlottetown includes stops at the Anne of Green Gables homestead, Rustico Harbor, and a traditional fishing village. View rolling farmlands, stunning seascapes, tiny villages, and bustling harbors along the Green Gables Shore scenic drive as you make your way to the North Shore area. Then tour Green Gables House, the old farm site which inspired L.M. Montgomery’s first novel, Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908.
Cruise Day 6 - At Sea (Wednesday, September 11, 2024)
Our only day at sea should be relaxing but lots of fun. So let's get to know each other better by playing Been There Done That, where we never know what the questions nor the unexpected answers from your fellow cruisers will be. This afternoon is Paint Your Tote time. If you can color then you will love painting a tote bag. So sit back and let your artistic juices start flowing. And yes you get to keep the bag so get as creative as you like.
Cruise Day 7 - Saguenay (La Baie), Quebec (Thursday, September 12, 2024 / 11:00 am - 7:00 pm) Tender Port
The city of Saguenay, formed in 2002, is comprised of three boroughs: La Baie, Chicoutimi and Jonquiere. Chicoutimi and Jonquiere. It is situated on the shores of the Saguenay river and on the whimsically named, Baie des Ha Ha! This French-speaking region is north of Québec City and is considered a small oasis in the midst of the nearly uninhabited Canadian wilderness.
Included Shore Excursion: Your tour guide today will provide an animated recount of the history of settlement along the banks of the Saguenay, the concepts of National Park Saguenay (Anse-de-Tabatière, the 7th most beautiful view in Canada) and the Saguenay-St Lawrence, as well as the geological history of the Saguenay Fjord and the famous Saguenay St. Lawrence Marine Park. You will enjoy passing through the charming villages seeing imposing landscapes and interacting with the warm residents on this 4 hour tour.
Cruise Day 8 - Quebec City, Quebec (Friday, September 13, 2024 / 7:00am - Disembark)
Our cruise docks in Quebec City this morning. Time to say goodbye to all your new single cruise friends or remain with the Best Single Travel group for our additional 4 day post cruise mini vacation in Quebec City.
