7 Nights and 8 Days Painting Vacation in Tuscany
Stunning views are essential for a painting holiday in Italy and that is why our villas are hand-picked to find the perfect location. Our villa in Tuscany is situated in the countryside on a private estate. We have carefully chosen an area of Tuscany famous for its breathtaking scenery to inspire our guests. When you are not painting, take some time to relax by the pool and wander the grounds of the estate. All the villa’s bedrooms are ensuite and decorated in a contemporary style. Saturday
Our transfer will meet you at Pisa Airport and take you to the villa for welcome drinks on the terrace followed by dinner.
Sunday
After breakfast you will have an introduction to watercolor, looking at basic techniques, different kinds of paper, brushes etc. There will be a demonstration in how to do quick sketches in the medium. The afternoon is free to enjoy as you wish. Dinner will be at the villa.
Monday
Your tutor will demonstrate landscape painting to the group after breakfast, looking at different ways to apply watercolour and mixing media like pastel and coloured pencil. Following lunch, there will be an outing to use the techniques. Dinner will be at the villa.
Tuesday
Enjoy a day in Siena sight-seeing or shopping at leisure. Lunch will be at a local trattoria. Before dinner, the tutor will discuss your work so far.
After breakfast, there will be a lesson in the elements of composition and colour. Lunch will be on the terrace. The afternoon is free to enjoy as you wish. Dinner will be at the villa.
Thursday
A chance today to try larger and more ambitious work using the sketches and ideas you have accumulated so far. Following lunch, there will be an afternoon visit to Arezzo with an opportunity to sketch. Dinner is at a local restaurant in Arezzo.
Friday
Today will be a leisurely morning to spend painting at the villa. For the rest of your last day, you are free to paint or relax by the pool. Dinner will be at the villa with a group exhibition of your paintings.
Saturday
After breakfast, our private transfer will take you back to Pisa Airport.
