What to Pack for Your Niagara Falls Weekend Vacation
Even on the sunniest days, when you get close to the falls, you can get quite wet from the mist if the wind is blowing your way. Be prepared to wear rain gear or be prepared to change into dry clothing.
You will want to protect your camera from the mist of The Falls, so bring a plastic bag big enough to cover your entire camera. You can also use the plastic bag to shield the camera while you take photos. Carry along some soft dry cloths to wipe away water drops on the lens.
Comfortable sturdy shoes, tennis shoes with plenty of tread, sandals – we will be doing a lot of walking. Make sure you bring an extra pair of shoes because yours WILL get wet. You will appreciate the dry shoes to go out in after a tour involving massive amounts of water!
Clothes you won't mind getting wet - There are a few attractions that will leave you soaked, having clothes suited for a wet environment is handy.
Plastic bags (zip lock bags and a larger trash bag) to store wet things.

In its early days, San Francisco was the West Coast hub of fishing and shipping. When the city was growing up, hundreds of fishermen would gather at Fisherman’s Wharf in the morning, earn their day’s catch, and meet back here in the evening. On our Fisherman’s Wharf walking tour, we will see Ghirardelli Square, home of the legendary chocolate maker, the world famous San Francisco cable car, and get a behind-the-scenes look into how Fisherman’s Wharf really operates. Also see The Balclutha, an 1800s-era clipper ship famous for appearing in the movie Mutiny on the Bounty.

Enjoy a leisurely morning and adjust to the time zone change as we spend the day at our amazing resort located on Waikiki beach. Dine-in or Grab-n-Go breakfast from one of the many restaurants or Starbucks then join the group as we explore the hotel. Features like the secluded manmade lagoon and the tropical gardens complete with exotic birds may be reminiscent of a remote Hawaiian jungle. Paradise Pool is a huge activity pool that overlooks Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and it has the longest waterslide in Waikiki. The Super Pool, a 10,000-square-foot beachfront pool, is for serious swimmers (no floats or toys allowed). The shallow Keiki Pool for small children is adjacent to the Super Pool, while the Tapa Pool is located between Tapa Tower and Diamond Head Tower. The Kalia Tower has its own infinity pool on the fourth floor.
About 4:30pm we will transfer to the port. Our Welcome Dinner will be onboard Hawaii’s largest sunset dinner cruise ship, the Star of Honolulu. Enjoy exquisite cuisine prepared by the cruise master chefs, premium cocktails and live Hawaiian entertainment for the most memorable experience in Hawaii.
The five hour Pearl Harbor & Honolulu City Tour is one of Oahu's most popular sightseeing experiences and gives us a special look at Honolulu's history. Our first stop takes us to Diamond Head, one of the most iconic natural landmarks of Hawaii. Rising 760 feet with a 3,520-foot crater, this volcano is nothing short of breathtaking. Hiking Diamond Head might first appear to be a challenging all day climb, but these Oahu hiking trails can sometimes be deceiving, as it really only takes about 40 to 60 minutes to reach the summit of the Diamond Head hike. Climb to the top for a panoramic view of Honolulu, Waikiki Beach, the Pacific Ocean and more. The hike is ranked as “easy to moderate” in physical exertion, and offers unparalleled views of the coastline. Take note that while the climb itself requires little exertion, the staircases at the end can be challenging for those not in “peak” shape, and can leave you breathless…though the views at the top will prove worth the climb!
Traveling along Oahu’s spectacular southeast coastlin, through Kalanianaole Highway which is famous for its rugged cliffs and dramatic ocean scapes, we will arrive at the famous Halona Blowhole. The Blowhole was created thousands of years ago when molten lava tubes were formed from volcanic eruptions and overlooks some of the most violent waters in Hawai‘i. During the winter months, strong currents and big waves send waters rushing into the molten lava tubes below the lookout, sending geysers as high as 30 feet through the blowhole. The bigger the waves, the higher the geysers. We may also see whales breaching or spouting at the surface.
We will be back in time to enjoy the afternoon by the pool or beach.
